Business Details
Legal and customer-facing business name, business address, phone number, industry, and a short description of the services you offer.
PointShot processes payments and payouts through Stripe Connect. Before customers can buy your services, you’ll complete a one-time onboarding flow where Stripe collects the information they need to verify your business, deposit your earnings, and report your annual income for tax purposes.
Onboarding is embedded directly inside PointShot — you never leave the app, and PointShot never sees or stores your financial information. Stripe handles every form, document upload, and verification step.
After registration, you’ll see an Onboarding link in the top navigation under Dashboard. Clicking it opens the embedded Stripe Connect onboarding flow. If you don’t see the link, you can also reach it through Edit Profile → Manage Business → Merchant Settings.
The form is dynamic — Stripe asks for only what’s required based on your country, business type, and the capabilities your account uses (payments and payouts). You can save and resume at any point.
Have these on hand before you start. Stripe will request a subset based on whether you register as an individual, sole proprietor, or company.
Business Details
Legal and customer-facing business name, business address, phone number, industry, and a short description of the services you offer.
Tax Identification
SSN, ITIN, or EIN depending on entity type. Required before Stripe can release payouts and issue your annual 1099.
Representative Information
Legal name, date of birth, residential address, phone number, email, and title for the person representing the account. For non-US persons, an ID document upload may also be required.
Beneficial Owners
For companies (LLC, corporation, non-profit, partnership), Stripe collects information for every owner with 25% or greater ownership stake.
Bank Account for Payouts
Routing and account number for the bank account where Stripe should deposit your earnings.
Service Agreement Acceptance
You’ll accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement at the end of the flow. PointShot’s Merchant Services Agreement covers your relationship with PointShot separately.
The flow adapts to your situation, but most specialists will see the following steps in order. Stripe’s form labels everything clearly — this list is just so you know what’s ahead.
Business Type
Select Individual, Sole Proprietorship, or Company (LLC, corporation, non-profit, or partnership).
Your country is pre-set based on where your business operates.
Business Details
Legal name, customer-facing name, business address, phone, industry/MCC, and a short product or
service description.
Representative Details
Information about the person acting on behalf of the account. For sole proprietors and individuals
this is you. For companies, this is the authorized representative.
Owners & Directors
Shown for companies only. Add every beneficial owner with at least 25% ownership, and confirm the
list of directors. Stripe may request a proof of ownership document for high-risk situations.
Business Verification
If Stripe can’t automatically verify your business from the information provided, you’ll be asked
to upload a proof of entity document (e.g. articles of incorporation, IRS letter, or business
registration).
External Bank Account
Add the bank account that will receive payouts. You can update this later in Merchant
Settings.
Summary & Submit
Final review of everything you entered, plus acceptance of the Stripe service agreement. You can
edit any section before submitting.
Stripe runs identity and business verification in the background. Most accounts are approved within minutes, but some require additional document review and can take a few business days.
You may be asked to provide additional documents if Stripe can’t automatically verify a piece of information. If that happens, PointShot will surface the request in your dashboard with a link back to the onboarding flow so you can finish the missing step. You can also update or correct existing information at any time from Merchant Settings.
Once Stripe approves your account and your PointShot verification is complete, you’re ready to list your first service.
